Plans
Tightknit offers three plans: Growth, Momentum, and Enterprise. See Tightknit pricing for what each plan includes. Your plan determines which features and usage limits are available to your community, and individual feature pages note the plan that each capability requires. To compare plans or move to a different one, see pricing, open the billing portal (below), or contact us.Managing Your Subscription
Only Studio admins can view and manage billing. See Access & roles.
- View your current plan and subscription status.
- Open the billing portal to update your payment method, download invoices, or change your plan.
- Start a subscription if your workspace does not have an active one.
What Happens if a Payment Fails
If a payment does not go through, your subscription moves through the stages below. You can restore full access at any stage by updating your payment method in the billing portal. The diagram summarizes the path from a failed payment to cancellation, and the ways back to an active subscription.Past Due
When a charge fails, your subscription becomes past due. Tightknit retries the payment automatically over a short grace period. During this time your community keeps full access, and we post a notice to your Tightknit Hub channel in Slack with a button to update your billing.Paused
If the retries do not succeed, your subscription is paused. This also happens when a free trial ends without a payment method on file. While your subscription is paused:- Your community site goes offline and members cannot reach it.
- API requests are rejected.
- The Slack app stops responding to most actions.
- Studio is locked to the billing page. Admins are redirected to Workspace > Billing so they can restore the subscription. Other Studio pages stay unavailable until billing is resolved.
Canceled
If the balance stays unpaid for about 30 days after your subscription is paused, the subscription is canceled. You can start a new subscription at any time from the billing page.Reactivation
As soon as a payment succeeds, or you start a new subscription, access is restored automatically. Your community site comes back online, API and Slack access resume, and Studio unlocks. You do not need to contact support to reactivate.Billing notifications are posted to your Tightknit Hub channel in Slack, with a fallback direct message to the community creator. Keep that channel accessible so billing reminders are not missed.
Troubleshooting
Studio keeps redirecting me to the billing page

Your subscription is paused because a payment could not be collected, or a trial ended without a payment method. Open the billing portal from the billing page and update your payment method to restore access.
My community site is offline
My community site is offline
A paused subscription takes the community site offline. Check your subscription status on the billing page. Once payment succeeds, the site is brought back online automatically.
I updated my card but access has not returned

Reactivation happens automatically once the payment clears, which can take a few moments. If access does not return shortly after a successful payment, contact us.
