Set up and manage your community’s guidelines, including AI-powered generation and community site display.
Community Guidelines set the expectations for behavior in your community. Guidelines saved in Tightknit are displayed on the /community-guidelinespage of the Community Site, and are linked from the welcome message new members receive.
Go to Onboarding under Community in the sidebar. Community guidelines are edited alongside your welcome message, because that is where most members first encounter them.

Open the Tightknit app home, then click Community Guidelines under the Moderation module.

Did you know you can update these with our MCP server too? Try asking your agent: “Rewrite our community guidelines to add a section on self-promotion.”
The Community Guidelines can also be used in AI moderation (coming soon!).
You can set a custom emoji icon that appears next to the Community Guidelines link in the community site navigation sidebar. This helps visually distinguish the guidelines in your site’s navigation.
