Adding a Recap in Studio
Go to Events under Engagement and open the event. From the actions menu next to Edit, choose Add recap (or Edit recap if the event already has one). The dialog has three fields:- Recap message - The body of the recap. Enter key takeaways, highlights, summaries, links, and so on.
- Event recording link - A video link (YouTube, Vimeo, and similar) shown alongside the recap. It must start with
https://. - Broadcast recap to channel - Post the recap as a reply on the event’s Slack announcement.

Adding a Recap in Slack
Once an event has passed, you can add a recap from the Events List panel.

⏪ Add Recap option from the dropdown menu.

- Recap Message - the body of the recap message
- Event Recording Link - a link to a video recording of the event
- Broadcast Recap Message to Channel - whether the broadcast message is additionally broadcasted as a new message to the entire channel (see Recap structure in Slack)
Recap Structure in Slack
When you add a recap to an event, it is added as a reply on the original event announcement Slack message. This is helpful for users following the announcement thread. You may optionally choose to broadcast the recap message to the entire channel so that all its users will see the recap update.
