You can configure which bots are allowed to post into the Tightknit companion site by adding to the Allowed Bot Profiles modal, found under the Profiles module. Up to three Slack bots can be configured to post to the Tightknit companion site. Please reach out to Support if you need more. Tightknit Community Bot Profile Modal
Only include bots in this dropdown. All real members are already allowed so no need to add them manually.
Additionally, you may configure:
  • Bot Profile Photo Override - when enabled, the user profile photos for the allowed bots are replaced on the Companion Site with your Companion Site Icon. However, if a Slack message sent by a bot uses an explicit icon or username override to change the author user’s appearance, this override will take precedence and will be preserved in the Companion Site.

Limitations

The Slackbot (i.e. user with id USLACKBOT) cannot be included as an Allowed Bot. Additionally, it is not supported in any user dropdowns inputs in the Tightknit app or user-related fields in Tightknit APIs.
