Troubleshooting

Check that:
  • Email addresses are spelled correctly
  • Invitations haven’t been caught in spam filters (ask members to check)
  • Your email sending limits haven’t been reached
  • The member hasn’t already been invited or is already in the community
If issues persist, try using an invite link instead of email invitations
Verify that:
  • Channel permissions are set to allow new members
  • The channels aren’t set to “Admin Only” or restricted to specific roles
  • Member groups or segments aren’t limiting access
Go to SettingsChannels and review the visibility settings for each channel.
Check the admin role permissions:
  • Go to SettingsAdmin Roles
  • Ensure the specific permission is enabled for admins
  • Remember that some features may be owner-only
You may need to create custom admin roles with different permission levels.

Start small and onboard intentionally

Don’t invite your entire audience at once. Begin with 10-20 engaged members who align with your community’s values. This allows you to:
  • Test your onboarding flow and gather feedback
  • Set the tone and culture before scaling
  • Create initial content and conversations that new members will see
  • Identify and empower early champions who can become admins or moderators
Quality over quantity creates stronger communities. Once you’ve activated your first members and established healthy participation patterns, you can confidently invite more people.
